Soo-Jin Lee
received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Sogang University,
Seoul,
Korea, in 1984 and 1986,
respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the State University of
New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook in 1995.
From 1986 to 1991,
he was a research staff member at the Research Center of LG (former
GoldStar) Electronics Corp., Anyang City,
Korea, where he
worked on the development of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Systems. From September
1995 to August 1996, he was a postdoctoral research associate at the Medical
Image Processing Laboratory, SUNY at Stony
Brook. From
September 1996 to February 1997, he was a senior research scientist at Imaging
Media Research Center in Korea Institute of
Science and Technology. From March 2004 to February 2005, he was a Visiting
Associate Professor of Molecular and Medical
Pharmacology at UCLA David
Geffen School of Medicine. Since March 1997, he has been with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Paichai University, Daejeon, Korea, where he is currently a professor.
His research interests are in statistical aspects of medical
imaging with an emphasis on the tomographic reconstruction problem in nuclear
medicine.
