Soo-Jin Lee
received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Sogang
University, Seoul, Korea, in 1984 and
1986, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in
Electrical and Computer Engineering from Stony
Brook University, Stony Brook, NY, USA, in
1995. From 1986 to 1991, he was a Research Staff Member with the Research
Center of LG
(former GoldStar) Electronics Co. Ltd., Anyang, Korea, where he worked on developing magnetic resonance imaging systems.
In 1995, he was a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the
Medical Image Processing Laboratory (closed in 2017),
Department of
Radiology, Renaissance School of Medicine, Stony Brook University. In 1996, he was a Senior
Research Scientist with the Center for Imaging Media Research,
Korea Institute of Science and Technology.
In 1997, he joined the faculty of
Paichai University, Daejeon, Korea, where he is currently a Professor of Electronic Engineering. From March 2004 to
February 2005, he was a Visiting Associate Professor of Molecular and Medical Pharmacology,
David Geffen School of Medicine,
University of California Los Angeles, CA, USA. His research interests include
computational imaging and medical image processing with an emphasis on the tomographic reconstruction problem in nuclear medicine. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of SPIE.
